Basketball Recap: Todd County Central Takes a Loss

Todd County Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 62-60 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fort Campbell Falcons. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (56), the Rebels still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why Todd County Central lost, don't look at John Ross Cardwell. Despite the final result, he went 8-for-17 on his way to 22 points and seven rebounds. Cardwell continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Connor Holder, who posted 13 points and eight boards.

Todd County Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Fort Campbell, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Todd County Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 92-59 defeat against Hopkinsville on the 13th. As for Fort Campbell, they will be home for the holidays to greet Allen County-Scottsville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
