Softball Recap: Twin Valley Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Twin Valley won the last time they faced Fleetwood and things went their way on Thursday too. The Raiders walked away with a 6-2 win over the Tigers. The victory was nothing new for the Raiders as they're now sitting on six straight.

Erin Cromwell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Ella Herbst was excellent, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailie Barton, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Twin Valley's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Fleetwood, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Looking ahead, Twin Valley will face off against Governor Mifflin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fleetwood, they will square off against Wilson at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
