Volleyball Recap: Model's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Model was the 3-0 winner over Darlington when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Devils fell 2-0 to the Tigers on Saturday. The loss put an end to the Blue Devils' undefeated start to the season.

Model was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly two points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-28, 25-23.

Darlington can attribute much of their success to Ruthie Brinson, who had eight kills. Brinson is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had seven or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Model fell to 3-1. As for Darlington, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Model didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Coosa on the 9th. As for Darlington, they will take on Pepperell at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
