Football Game Preview: Macomb Bombers vs. Hillcrest Hawks + Official Tickets

The Macomb Bombers will face off against the Hillcrest Hawks at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Macomb is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Macomb played against Lewistown/Cuba/Spoon River Valley on Friday and won via forfeit.

On Friday, Hillcrest didn't have too much trouble with Tinley Park as they won 32-15. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while the Titans are ranked 424th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Macomb better keep an eye on Derrick Streeter. He was instrumental in Hillcrest's win, rushing for 59 yards and three TDs on only five carries, while also picking up 68 receiving yards. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 61 yards.

Hillcrest was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 301 rushing yards. They are a perfect 4-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Macomb's record now sits at 8-1. As for Hillcrest, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
