Volleyball Recap: Severance Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Severance barely beat Mountain View the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Silver Knights blew past the Mountain Lions 3-0 on Tuesday. The Silver Knights haven't had any issues with the Mountain Lions recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Severance didn't let Mountain View take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-22, 27-25.

Severance was led to victory by Zeke Wawrzyniak and Matt Zenger. Wawrzyniak had 12 digs and three assists, while Zenger had 12 kills, ten digs, and two aces. Zenger has been hot for a while, having posted six or more kills the last 13 times he's played.

Severance's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6. As for Mountain View, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-10.

Coming up, Severance will face off against Alameda at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Mountain View does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
