Basketball Recap: Coolidge Skates Past Empire with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Coolidge). They blew past the Empire Ravens 86-6 on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

It was another big night for Alaysia White, who dropped a triple-double on 42 points, 20 rebounds, and 15 steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 19.8 points per game. Naylissa Charles was another key player, almost dropping a triple-double on 14 points, nine boards, and ten steals.

Coolidge was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Empire only racked up one assist.

The victory got Coolidge back to even at 4-4. As for Empire, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coolidge will welcome Thatcher at 5:30 p.m. on December 17th. As for Empire, they will head out to face off against Walden Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Walden Grove will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Empire surely won't give up without a fight.
