Soccer Game Preview: Powell vs. Webb

The Powell Panthers will head out to take on the Webb Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Powell took on Knoxville Central on Thursday. The Panthers came up short against the Bobcats, falling 4-0. Having soared to a lofty nine goals in the game before, Powell's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Webb was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 5-2 to West. While losing is never fun, Webb can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 111th, while West are ranked 11th).

Webb now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Powell, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
