Football Recap: Seminary Takes a Loss

Seminary's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 20-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sumrall Bobcats. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Seminary has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4-1 record this season. As for Sumrall, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Seminary and Sumrall will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bulldogs will challenge rival Jefferson Davis County at 9:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sumrall is set to square off against their familiar foe South Jones at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
