Softball Recap: Jefferson County Patriots vs. Grainger Grizzlies
Jefferson County lost against Grainger back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Jefferson County Patriots took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grainger Grizzlies.
Kayli Reece made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with three RBI and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Watson, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Even though they lost, Jefferson County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Looking ahead, Jefferson County will head out on the road to square off against Morristown-Hamblen West at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jefferson County is facing Morristown-Hamblen West at the right time seeing as Morristown-Hamblen West is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Grainger, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Cocke County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
