Berkeley is 7-2 against Encinal since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Yellowjackets will welcome the Jets at 4:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Berkeley didn't have quite enough to beat Encinal and fell 5-4.

For Encinal's part, Darren Olson looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Olson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Evan Furuichi was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs and one double. He has become a key player for Encinal: the team is 9-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kainoa Otenbriet, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Encinal and bumps their season record up to 15-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Berkeley, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.
