Volleyball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chavez Titans. The Yellowjackets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Titans earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Franklin sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-21, 20-25, 15-12.

When it comes to explaining why Franklin lost, don't look at Jasmine Nieto. Despite the final result, she had 18 digs. Nieto is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Chavez, their win ended a ten-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-19.

Franklin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Weston Ranch on the 13th. As for Chavez, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Tokay on the 13th.
