Baseball Recap: Meadowbrook Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Meadowbrook can now relate to. They came up short against the Claymont Mustangs on Wednesday, falling 10-0. The Colts were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Meadowbrook saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Fox, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Fox has hit this season.

Meadowbrook's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-12. As for Claymont, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-16 record this season.

Meadowbrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Claymont, they have already played their next match, an 11-1 loss against Indian Creek on the 31st.
