Orofino made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Clarkston, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Maniacs blew past the Bantams 28-18 on Wednesday. Fans of the Maniacs have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+  runs.
 Rilee Diffin and  Livia Johnson did most of the damage at the plate:  Diffin  got on base  in six of her seven plate appearances with one  home run, six  runs,  and eight  RBI, while  Johnson  fired off two  home runs, eight  RBI,  and five  runs while going 4-for-6. Those  two  home runs gave  Johnson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Sady Olive, who  scored five  runs while going 3-for-6.
 Orofino  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .583. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an  OBP of .500 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Orofino's win was  their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 5-0. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 26.0 runs this season. As for Clarkston, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 6-2.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orofino will welcome Colton  at 2:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Clarkston, they will host Deer Park  at 2:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Stags will roll in looking for their  ninth straight  win, something the Bantams surely won't give up without a fight.
