Baseball Game Preview: Central Lake Trojans vs. Inland Lakes Bulldogs

Central Lake is 0-3 against Inland Lakes since April of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The Trojans will host the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. Central Lake has given up an average of 10.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Central Lake's offense. They lost 27-0 to East Jordan on Friday.

Meanwhile, Inland Lakes came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Hornets a 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Inland Lakes' win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Central Lake, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
