Villa Rica took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Temple Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since September 17, 2024.

Villa Rica got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The final score came out to 29-31, 25-22, 15-12.

Villa Rica will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Carrollton at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th. As for Temple, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Haralson County on the 5th.
