Basketball Recap: Danville Christian Academy Extends Winning Streak to 15

Danville Christian Academy waltzed into their matchup on Friday with 14 straight wins... but they left with 15. They strolled past the Lincoln County Patriots with points to spare, taking the game 53-35. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Patriots are ranked 83rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Danville Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lual Ayiei, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Ayiei a new career-high in field goal percentage (78%). Leek Ateny was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds.

Danville Christian Academy pushed their record up to 22-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. As for Lincoln County, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-10.

Danville Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 59-54 win against Boyle County on the 15th. As for Lincoln County, they will venture away from home to challenge Wayne County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
