Volleyball Recap: Simon Kenton Takes a Loss

Simon Kenton suffered their biggest defeat since September 9th on Wednesday. They came up short against the North Oldham Mustangs, falling 3-0. If the Pioneers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-13, 25-11.

North Oldham was led to victory by Ashlyn Thompson and Kayla Dickhaut. Thompson had 15 digs and two assists, while Dickhaut had five assists and three digs. That's the most digs Dickhaut has posted since back in August.

This is the second loss in a row for Simon Kenton and nudges their season record down to 17-12. As for North Oldham, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season.

Simon Kenton will face off against Scott at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Oldham, they will square off against Sayre at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
