Football Recap: Pasco Sets Scoring Season-High Against Hernando

Pasco scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 27-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hernando Leopards. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Leopards recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Although Pasco took the loss, they still got scores from Gio Reyes, Bryce Frix, and Sage Stinyard.

Leading Hernando to victory were Jerry Brown and Michael Saltsman. Brown rushed for 125 yards and a pair of scores on only 13 carries, while Saltsman rushed for 41 yards and one TD. What's more, Saltsman racked up 158 passing yards, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.

Pasco's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Hernando, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Pasco will host Fivay at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hernando, they are taking a road trip to challenge Citrus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Leopards will be up against the Hurricanes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 45.57 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
