Baseball Recap: Leake Academy Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses at Home

There's no place like home for Leake Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Park Place Christian Academy Crusaders a 10-0 shutout on Monday. Considering the Rebels' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Not much got past Caden Stovall, who gave up just a hit to keep Park Place Christian Academy off the board. Stovall also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Leake Academy is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-5 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Leake Academy got a big performance out of Tanner Walsworth, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Matthew Nowell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
