Volleyball Recap: Chardon Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Chardon can now relate to. They came up short against the Highland Hornets on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Hilltoppers were not able to make up for their loss to the Hornets from their previous meeting back in September of 2020.

Highland was led to victory by Ava Andrews and Payton Hrics. Andrews had 16 digs, while Hrics had five digs and three aces. What's more, Hrics racked up 25 assists, the most she's had since back in September.

With the defeat, Chardon broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 11-13. As for Highland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.
