Basketball Recap: Sierra Ridge Academy/ROP Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Sierra Ridge Academy/ROP kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 70-31 defeat at the hands of the Stockton Christian Eagles. The Rams have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Ayden Rachal was a one-man wrecking crew For Stockton Christian. as he dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Corbin Moore, who shot 50% from the field en route to 12 points and three steals.

Sierra Ridge Academy/ROP will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Adventure Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 26, 2026. As for Stockton Christian, they and Ben Holt College Prep Academy will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
