Baseball Recap: P.K. Yonge Comes Up Short

If P.K. Yonge was riding high fresh off their 8-1 takedown of Gainesville last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. P.K. Yonge lost 11-0 to the Palatka Panthers on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-4 back in February.

P.K. Yonge saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Davis, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

P.K. Yonge dropped their record down to 8-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Palatka, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. P.K. Yonge will welcome Dixie County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dixie County will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Palatka, they will host Keystone Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
