Basketball Recap: Carlisle County's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Carlisle County had to endure a four-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Hickman County Falcons by a score of 62-49 on Friday. The Comets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Carlisle County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Heath Mcbride, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 20 points. Those 20 points gave Mcbride a new career-high. Wyatt Rickard was another key player, going 6 for 8 on his way to 14 points in addition to eight boards and four blocks.

Carlisle County was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Carlisle County's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Hickman County, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carlisle County will head out to challenge Fulton City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hickman County, they will venture away from home to face off against Ballard Memorial at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
