Basketball Recap: Riverdale Comes Up Short

Riverdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 61-35 to the Kings Christian Crusaders. The Cowboys were down 50-29 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Kings Christian had a senior duo take command as Trey Brouwer dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds and Elyas Miro posted 14 points in addition to five assists and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Brouwer a new career-high in assists (two). Kevin Roche was another key player, putting up 11 points and seven boards.

Riverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Kings Christian, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-4.

Riverdale has already played their next game, a 76-51 loss against Minarets on the 24th. As for Kings Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 80-29 victory against Riverdale Christian on the 24th.
