Mercersburg Academy has gone 7-1-1 against Peddie recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Storm will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 1:00 p.m. Peddie took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Mercersburg Academy, who comes in off a win.

On Wednesday, Mercersburg Academy needed a bit of extra time to put away Kiski School. They had just enough and edged out the Cougars 8-7. The victory continues a trend for the Storm in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won eight in a row.

Ben Samuels and Gavin Williams did most of the damage at the plate: Samuels went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Williams got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two hits gave Samuels a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Drew Wishard, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Mercersburg Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Peddie came up short against Lawrenceville School on Tuesday, falling 10-2. The Falcons have struggled against the Big Red recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Peddie's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Mercersburg Academy, their win bumped their record up to 2-9-1.

Everything went Mercersburg Academy's way against Peddie when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Mercersburg Academy made off with a 9-2 victory. Will the Storm repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
