Soccer Game Preview: Rising Sun vs. South Ripley

The Rising Sun Shiners will challenge the South Ripley Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Rising Sun is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Switzerland County on Saturday. The Shiners fell just short of the Pacers by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that Rising Sun have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, South Ripley and Milan finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

With that draw, South Ripley's record moves to 5-4-3. As for Rising Sun, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5-2.
