After a string of four wins, Millington Central's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to the Obion County Rebels. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (55), the Trojans still had to take the loss.

Millington Central's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Cody McGhee, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 15 points in addition to six assists and six boards, and Tayshaun Dye, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 15 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayshun Bland, who posted seven points and five rebounds.

Millington Central's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Obion County, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Millington Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 45-37 victory against Covington on the 3rd. As for Obion County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 75-54 win against Lake County on the 3rd.
