Baseball Recap: Arlington Comes Up Short

Arlington and Bothell squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Arlington had to settle for second. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 10-2. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Arlington saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Billy Kooy, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Seth Berry also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Arlington's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Bothell, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Arlington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bothell, they will challenge Issaquah at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
