Soccer Game Preview: Ludlowe vs. Notre Dame Prep

The Ludlowe Falcons will head out to challenge the Notre Dame Prep Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Ludlowe barely beat Wilton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Falcons never let the Warriors get on the board and left with a 5-0 win on Thursday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Ludlowe considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame Prep came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.8 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Red Devils 6-0. Notre Dame Prep's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last six matchups.

Their offense was hitting Stratford from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Mia Alvarado led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Ludlowe's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Notre Dame Prep, their win bumped their record up to 9-2-2.
