Softball Recap: Tempe Comes Up Short

Tempe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 10-7 to the Great Hearts Anthem Eagles.

Celeste Alvarez made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. Kandice Chavez was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Tempe's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Great Hearts Anthem, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Tempe wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 16-6 victory against Glendale on the 23rd. As for Great Hearts Anthem, they have also already played their next game, an 8-3 loss against Hayden on the 19th.
