Ellis has gone 7-1 against Spearville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Railroaders will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Lancers at 4:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, Ellis got the win against Ellsworth by a conclusive 17-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Railroaders.

Austin Lopeman was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-2. Hunter Guffey was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Spearville didn't have quite enough to beat Scott on Thursday and fell 12-11. The loss was the Lancers' first of the season.

Ellis' victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Spearville, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
