Volleyball Recap: Hilltop Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Hilltop was the 2-1 winner over Mira Mesa when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lancers fell 3-1 to the Marauders on Tuesday.

Hilltop started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-23.

Bailey McBride was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 13 digs and three aces. Those three aces gave her a new career-high.

Hilltop dropped their record down to 17-9 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Mira Mesa, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hilltop will host Sweetwater at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mira Mesa, they will welcome High Tech Mesa at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
