Baseball Game Preview: Perry County Central Commodores vs. Magoffin County Hornets

The Perry County Central Commodores will head out to square off against the Magoffin County Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Things were looking good for Perry County Central after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 6-2 to Paintsville. The loss continues a trend for the Commodores in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Perry County Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devin Gayhart, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Magoffin County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Floyd Central, falling 14-4.

Perry County Central's record is now 1-1. As for Magoffin County, their record is now 0-2.

Perry County Central took their victory against Magoffin County in their previous meeting back in March of 2022 by a conclusive 12-0. Does Perry County Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Magoffin County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
