Carver A&T and Perry Hall are an even 3-3 against one another  since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Gators  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Carver A&T is headed into the  match having just  posted their closest  win since April 8, 2024 on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past Franklin  6-5. The  win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won three in a row.

The team  relied heavily on  Jocelyn Barker, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 2-for-4. She is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Mia McGarvey, who  went 1-for-2 with one  double and one  RBI.
 Carver A&T  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least two  strikeouts batters  in three consecutive  games.
Meanwhile, Perry Hall hadn't done well against Catonsville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Wednesday. The Gators won by a  run and slipped past the Comets  6-5.
 Savannah Carl made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 11 batters over  seven innings while giving up  three earned  (and two unearned) runs off   four  hits. Carl was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Addison Dunlap was  incredible,  scoring a  run while going 4-for-4. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in May of 2024.  Shalimar Lopez was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Perry Hall has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Carver A&T, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
Carver A&T's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's   match. The Wildcats have been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 3.6  stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Perry Hall, though, as  they've been averaging  only 0.7  stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Carver A&T continue to outrun the ball?
 Carver A&T suffered a grim  19-6 defeat to Perry Hall  in their previous meeting  back in May of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
