Softball Recap: Kaiser Gets the Win

While Kaiser's win against Carter wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cats had just enough and edged out the Lions 8-6. The victory continues a trend for the Cats in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

Isabella Retana was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Rios, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Kaiser's win bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Carter, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coincidentally, Kaiser and Carter will both be playing Jurupa Hills the next time they take the field. The Lions will head out to face the Spartans at 3:45 p.m. on Friday, while the Cats will host them at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
