Franklin Heights dropped down to 4-2 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Columbus School for Girls Unicorns, falling 3-0. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Unicorns when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Elaina Estep paced Franklin Heights' offense, picking up five kills. Estep got some help from Meily Reyes and her five assists. Hannah Meade controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Columbus School for Girls' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 2, 2024 (when they won 3-0).
Columbus School for Girls can attribute much of their success to Kiersten Cahill, who had 19 assists and four digs.
Looking ahead, Franklin Heights will take on Worthington Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Columbus School for Girls, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Whitehall-Yearling on the 2nd.
