Softball Game Preview: East Buchanan Buccaneers vs. Springville Orioles

The East Buchanan Buccaneers will head out on the road to challenge the Springville Orioles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. East Buchanan has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since May 27.

East Buchanan lost 17-1 to Wapsie Valley on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Springville can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They put the hurt on Central with a sharp 13-0 win. That 13 run margin sets a new team best for the Orioles this season.

East Buchanan's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Springville, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.

East Buchanan was able to grind out a solid win over Springville in their previous meeting back in June of 2024, winning 8-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buccaneers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
