Basketball Recap: Keegan Koch's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Rockwood over Jellico

Rockwood lost against Jellico back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rockwood Tigers came up short against the Jellico Blue Devils, falling 69-44. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rockwood's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keegan Koch, who posted six points. Michael Gibson was another key player, putting up seven points and seven rebounds.

Jellico was led to victory by Caleb Rose and Trey Vann. Rose went 5 for 10 on his way to 15 points and three steals, while Vann went 8 of 12 en route to 19 points. Vann's evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dre Webb, who scored five points and four steals.

Rockwood's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Jellico, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Rockwood has already played their next match (against Oakdale), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Jellico has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Wartburg Central.
