Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Rowan). They secured an 83-77 W over the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Despite the loss, Northwest Cabarrus still got an impressive performance from Justin Gonder, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 20 points along with seven assists and seven boards. Those seven assists gave Gonder a new career-high. Anderson Lee was another key player, putting up 19 points and seven rebounds.

West Rowan's record is now 6-13. As for Northwest Cabarrus, they moved to 13-7 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

West Rowan and Lake Norman Charter will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Lake Norman Charter knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 matchups -- so hopefully West Rowan likes a good challenge. As for Northwest Cabarrus, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Robinson at 7:30 p.m. Robinson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 76 points per game this season.
