Recap: Brooklyn Tech Engineers vs. Boerum Hill

After a string of four wins, the Brooklyn Tech Engineers's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell to Boerum Hill 57-52. Brooklyn Tech was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Boerum Hill apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Brooklyn Tech lost, one person who can't be blamed is Troy Hornbeck. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with eight rebounds. The contest was Hornbeck's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Chadwyck Beckford was another key contributor, scoring six points.

Brooklyn Tech's loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. As for Boerum Hill, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brooklyn Tech will challenge Westinghouse at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Westinghouse's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Boerum Hill, they will head out on the road to face off against Wingate at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
