Softball Recap: Windber Triumphs

Windber won the last time they faced Rockwood and things went their way on Thursday too. The Ramblers came out on top against the Rockets by a score of 6-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Ramblers.

Skylee Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Windber let Maggie Mannipo and Rylee Baer run wild. Mannipo went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI, while Baer went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Nici Costlow, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Windber's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Rockwood, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Windber didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-2 win against Conemaugh Township on the 28th. As for Rockwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 12-2 defeat against Berlin Brothersvalley on the 28th.
