Football Recap: Shaker Heights Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 7-7 at halftime, Shaker Heights was not quite Brunswick's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell 21-14 to the Blue Devils. The Red Raiders lost against the Blue Devils in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 35-3 score last time.

The critical scores for Brunswick came from Landen Kirchner and Eli Nichols.

Shaker Heights is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Brunswick, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Shaker Heights will challenge Euclid at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brunswick, they will welcome Lorain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils will be up against the Titans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.8 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
