Basketball Game Preview: Danbury Panthers vs. Evadale Rebels

The Danbury Panthers will head out to take on the Evadale Rebels at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Danbury duked it out withBig Sandy on Tuesday. Danbury took a 45-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Big Sandy. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Evadale waltzed into their game on Tuesday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. They claimed a resounding 88-13 victory over the Pirates. Given the Rebels' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 485th, while the Pirates are ranked 1585th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Danbury's loss dropped their record down to 18-15. As for Evadale, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 19 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record this season.

Danbury took a serious blow against Evadale in their previous meeting back in January, falling 85-23. Can Danbury avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
