Softball Recap: Roncalli Takes a Loss

Chilton hit Roncalli with a five-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Jets came up short against the Tigers, falling 14-3. If the Jets were looking for revenge after losing 15-9 to the Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Roncalli saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Schultz, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Jenna Ewen also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Roncalli now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Chilton, their record now sits at 5-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roncalli will host Brillion at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Jets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Chilton, they will welcome Oconto at 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
