Westford Academy fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Weston on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 15-14. On the bright side, the 14- run effort marked the Grey Ghosts' highest-scoring contest to date.

Westford Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Weston, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.
