Basketball Game Preview: Pleasantville Greyhounds vs. Manchester Township Hawks

The Pleasantville Greyhounds will square off against the Manchester Township Hawks on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Pleasantville came up short against Gloucester County Christian and fell 58-47. The Greyhounds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Manchester Township also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Jackson Memorial by a score of 64-57.

Pleasantville will need to focus on slowing down Madeline Nolan, one of several Manchester Township players who made an impact when they last played. She went 8-for-15 en route to 20 points. With that strong performance, Nolan is now averaging an impressive 15 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Jackson, who posted 16 points and seven rebounds.

Even though they lost, Manchester Township smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in five consecutive matchups.

Pleasantville's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Manchester Township, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-8.
