Baseball Recap: Sasakwa Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Sasakwa, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the New Lima Falcons by a score of 6-2 on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Darius Henderson was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played dating back to last season. Titus Collins was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

The victory got Sasakwa back to even at 2-2. As for New Lima, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coincidentally, Sasakwa and New Lima will both be playing Maysville the next time they take the field. Sasakwa will host Maysville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while New Lima will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
