West Branch and Moshannon Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2015, but not for long. The Warriors will face off against the Black Knights/Damsels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Branch has given up an average of 46.1 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

West Branch is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 32 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Glendale on Friday. They had to suffer through a 41-6 loss at the hands of the Vikings.

Meanwhile, Moshannon Valley entered their contest against Claysburg-Kimmel on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Black Knights/Damsels took a 29-13 bruising from the Bulldogs.

Although Moshannon Valley took the loss, they still got scores from Mason Abernethy and Jack Moore.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed seven in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Abernethy, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Moshannon Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for West Branch, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

West Branch might still be hurting after the 38-13 loss they got from Moshannon Valley when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Warriors, Landon Buck (who rushed for 134 yards and three scores on only eight carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
