Castle proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over the Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Castle pushed their record up to 19-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Evansville Mater Dei, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Castle is set to face off against their familiar foe Evansville Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Evansville Mater Dei will take on rival Evansville Reitz at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
