There's no place like home for Palisade, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Grand Junction Tigers on Friday as they made off with an 11-3 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Christian Herrera looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

On the hitting side, Dylon Larson was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He has become a key player for Palisade: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 7-8 otherwise. Will Seriani was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run and one double.

Palisade kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They are 6-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Palisade has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Grand Junction, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6.

Palisade has already played their next match, a 10-0 win against Rifle on the 3rd. As for Grand Junction, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-4 victory against Fruita Monument on the 6th.
